River Route transit fares

You can buy tickets when boarding the bus. Exact change only. Please have your fare ready to minimize delays.

Hours of operation

Monday to Friday, 5:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The River Route connects with the existing Brockville transit system. It begins in Brockville at the box store stop at 5:30 am. The route continues east and brings commuters to and from popular destinations throughout Augusta, Prescott, and Edwardsburgh Cardinal. The bus runs in a 2-hour loop for 12 hours each weekday.

The route serves these communities, from west to east: Brockville, Elizabethtown-Kitley, Maitland, Prescott, Johnstown and Cardinal. The service operates Monday to Friday, beginning at 5:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm in Brockville, at the box store stop.

Note: Scheduled stops are approximate. In poor driving conditions caused by weather or traffic congestion, the bus could run behind schedule.

Look for the bus stop sign. You can catch the bus wherever you see it. The sign shows a QR code and the website RiverRoute.ca for route details and pricing.

Accessibility

• The bus has a ramp and/or lifting devices to load and unload passengers who cannot board or exit using the bus steps.
• The bus has 2 allocated mobility aid spaces (wheelchair or scooter) with restraint systems.
• The bus has high colour-contrasted grab bars, handholds, handrails or stanchions where appropriate. They support independent and safe boarding, debarking, onboard circulation, seating and standing assistance, and are for persons with disabilities.
• The bus has floors that produce minimal glare and are slip resistant.
• Stop requests and emergency response controls are located throughout the bus at appropriate locations.
• There is adequate lighting at all passenger access doors.

Transfers

Riders taking the bus into Brockville can transfer onto the regular Brockville transit system at no additional cost.

A separate ticket must be purchased if you are transferring from the regular Brockville transit system to the River Route.

Transfers are only valid to immediately transfer to another bus at one of the designated transfer points.

There are six trips each way per day. Times shown are the scheduled times for each stop. The first trip leaves Brockville at 5:30 am and each later trip runs 2 hours after the one before. Wide tables scroll sideways. Use the keyboard or touch to scroll them.

The last westbound trip arrives at the Brockville box store stop at 5:24 pm.
