Volunteer

You may volunteer with the Town of Prescott if you are:

• 16 years of age or younger - must have parental consent
• 18 years of age or older AND provide a valid Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check that is dated within the past year (see below)

If you wish to apply to become a volunteer with the Town of Prescott, you must:

• Complete the Volunteer Application Form.
• Submit the completed application to the municipality to the attention of the Manager of Community Services.

Prior to volunteering, you will need to:

• Meet with the appropriate Town staff representative to obtain a volunteer letter, for the OPP to conduct a Criminal Record Check and/or Vulnerable Sector Check search at no charge. Submit the volunteer letter with the application to the OPP.
• These checks can be obtained by contacting: 
  • the Ontario Provincial Police (Prescott) for residents of Grenville County at 613-925-4221
• Provide the Town with a copy of your valid Criminal Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Check. A vulnerable sector check is required if you will be in a position of trust or authority over children (under 18) or vulnerable persons.
