RiverWalk
Beginning near the Coast Guard, Prescott’s waterfront invites you to explore at river pace. At the Dive Park, divers have a dedicated change shelter, while a public patio and free viewfinders make it a place to stop even if you’re staying above the water. RiverWalk Park offers room to play and take in the shoreline, with its pirate ship play structure and nautical artifacts. Nearby, the Kinsmen Amphitheatre brings the waterfront to life with the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival and summer Sunday concerts.
At the Sandra S. Lawn Marina, boats share the harbour with the Heritage Lighthouse, still standing watch at the entrance & guiding Seaway traffic. A stroll through Shakespeare’s Garden adds flowers, river views and quotations from the plays performed nearby. Then step into the Rotary Lighthouse, open seasonally as a visitor centre. Its heritage panels explore the changing waterfront, and a free viewfinder at the top offers a fresh perspective on the St. Lawrence.
The seasonal Pop-Ups bring local vendors, food and shopping to the water’s edge. Nearby, the Rotary Pavilion offers a place to pause and enjoy the view before continuing along the Heritage Waterfront Trail. Here, the old railway docks recall Prescott’s days as a meeting point for rail and river, giving this stretch of shoreline a story that unfolds with every stop.
