Serving older adults in Prescott since 1986, Walker House offers a welcoming space for learning, friendship, and fun. We practice art and crafts, play cards, pool, and scrabble, and gather for meals and exercise classes. We also frequently take trips together and generally aim to keep busy, keep healthy, keep laughing, and keep learning!

• Annual Fee: $15 for Prescott residents, $40 for non-residents

Walker House Adult Activity Centre opened its doors in 1986. What once housed Wanaco's head office, a local manufacturing company, was gifted to the Town of Prescott when the company decided to locate its office within their plant uptown. The property came with some strict regulations, instructing the Town to always have the facility open as a centre for the betterment, education and recreation of Prescott’s older
adults.

Walker House is in memory of James Cowan Walker, 1920 – 1983. Mr. Walker was born in Regina and lived for several decades in Prescott, where he was founder and president of Hathaway of Canada, President of Warnaco of Canada Limited, and Chairman and CEO of the parent company, Warnaco Inc.
